“1000-Lb. Sisters” Tammy Slaton is in tears

Tammy Slaton is having a hard time coming to terms with the recent health challenges that she has had.

The 36-year-old woman becomes upset as she thinks about her weight gain on the day that she entered rehab, and how it led to her being hospitalized as a result of it, in this exclusive peek at the season premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters that were provided to PEOPLE.

“I made the decision to check myself back into a treatment about two months ago. I weighed more than I ever had before by a significant margin “she claimed this right before a video clip showed her standing on a scale while her doctor told her that she weighed 717 pounds.

When she found out her weight, she immediately burst into tears and remarked, “I just don’t feel well.”

In the video, Tammy reflected on the time she entered the weight loss rehabilitation center in Ohio for the first time. In light of her issues with heavy drinking, vaping, and depression, returning was a difficult decision for her to make.

She detailed the frightening experience she had with her health immediately after she had arrived.

She stated, “I may have been here for less than thirty minutes, yet I noticed a reduction in my oxygen level.” “It was necessary for someone to take me to the hospital. They caused a coma in me using medical procedures.”

“I have absolutely no recollection of any of it… nothing.” Tammy recalled the day that she was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. “I had a total loss of consciousness. I don’t remember much after that other than waking up in the hospital on life support about a week later.”

She said during a confessional that she did hear the voices of her family members when she was in the coma and that she has a hazy recollection of them holding her hand.

“I woke up like a week later,” Tammy said. “My sister Amy and my brother Chris are the first people I text in a group text that I send to myself. I emailed them a picture with the caption, “It’s me!”
