Boss’s close friend of more than 20 years, Justin Timberlake, tweeted: “Hearing that someone who made a room so happy was suffering so terribly behind closed doors is terrible. Through the dance community, I’ve known Twitch for more than 20 years; he always brightened up the place. Simply said, you can never truly know what someone is going through.”
Added he, “Take care of one another. I 3 the person I see in the mirror. Look after your people. I’m sending light to his lovely family during this tough and gloomy period. Sir, we will miss you. Be at ease.”
Boss’ co-judge on SYTYCD, JoJo Siwa, sent a heartfelt tribute to him on Instagram, calling him “forever the world’s dancing dad.”
“My heart is utterly torn apart. Twitch was SO many people’s mentor and best friend, not just to myself. He became such a bright spot in my life throughout our time working together on SYTYCD, and I’ll never forget that. My best friend is now someone I’ve looked up to since birth “Siwa penned. “Always gave the finest advice was Twitch.
We shared SO many smiles, smirks, and even tears. We are all going to miss you dearly even though I am aware that you are in a better place today. I’m sending my love and prayers to His lovely wife and their three excellent children.

Pro on Dancing with the Stars Cheryl Burke responded on Instagram as well, posting two images of herself with Boss. She praised him in her article for “always putting a smile on my face, being so joyous, and inspiring.”

With Boss, Channing Tatum posted an Instagram picture with the caption: “Having no words, There are none. My mind and heart are unable to comprehend this. There is simply too much… I’m not sure where to start. I cherish you. My friend, I’ll see you again. till then”
According to Katie Couric, “this is so, really sad.” She went on to post on Instagram, “Stephen “tWitch” Boss, a much-liked producer and DJ on the Ellen DeGeneres Show as well as a dancer who gained recognition on So You Think You Can Dance, committed suicide. He was in his forties.”
