Cardi B’s tears of grief

Takeoff, a rapper for the Migos, tragically passed away in November 2022 at the age of 28 after being shot to death in Houston, Texas. According to TMZ, the musician and his uncle, Quavo, a fellow member of the Migos, were at a bowling alley when a dispute erupted and shots were fired.

Offset, the rapper’s cousin and the third member of the group Migos, was pronounced dead on the scene but was not there.

Naturally, many people openly lamented Takeoff’s premature passing. Cardi B, Offset’s wife, discussed how deeply the tragedy affected their family in an interview with “The Neighborhood Talk” in November 2022. Even though she insisted that they are not a “charity case,” Cardi B admitted that she had been struggling to make her husband smile and that she had found it difficult to witness Offset “randomly cry.”

Just a few days before Thanksgiving, Cardi B revealed on the podcast that despite “living our life normally,” “deep down, our hearts have been so heavy.” Offset, in contrast, has kept silent about the passing of his cousin, sharing a heartfelt Instagram tribute just two weeks later. “My heart is shattered, and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words,” he said in part.

Cardi B has already revealed the precise moment she and Offset learned of the tragedy.

When Cardi B and Offset woke up, they received a call letting them know Takeoff had passed away. The “WAP” rapper revealed that she and her hubby were in bed after postponing plans to attend a Halloween party that evening on a January 16 episode of the “Jason Lee Podcast.” We had just fallen asleep when my phone and Offset’s phone began to ring continuously out of the blue. Offset was the first to answer the phone, and as Cardi B recalled, he screamed the word “No!” He merely replied, “Takeoff is dead,” when his wife inquired what was wrong.

Cardi B reportedly “smacked” her husband in surprise after that. “He’s just rushing around, yelling, and throwing things and throwing up. I was only so terrified. I was simply crying a lot. It was awful, “She remembered truthfully.

The “I Like It” rapper and Takeoff shared a strong relationship. She included a copy of DMs the two had had in an Instagram tribute she posted following his passing, along with pictures of him, Offset and their fellow Migos member Quavo. Takeoff’s message to Cardi B throughout the conversation probably best encapsulated their relationship: “I love you too 4L & After thank you, sis, respect you FR.” Cardi promised Takeoff that she will “remember your great talent and [his] dope a** personality” in her caption.
