Actress Known For Her Roles In 24, Bosch, And Timeless Dies At 45

Annie Wersching was an actress best known for her role as Renee Walker on the series โ€œ24โ€ and as the voice of Tess on the video game โ€œLast of Us.โ€ She was also a wife and a mother with three boys. Her life was full. Now it is over.

Werschingโ€™s publicist told The Associated Press that she died after a long battle with cancer. She was diagnosed in 2020. She died on January 29, 2023. The type of cancer was not mentioned. She was only 45 years old.

Wersching is survived by her husband, actor Stephen Full, and her three sons, Freddie, age 12, Ozzie, age 9, and Archie, age 4. Full released a statement about his wifeโ€™s death explaining, โ€œThere is a cavernous hole in the soul of this family today. But she left us the tools to fill it. She found wonder in the simplest moment. She didnโ€™t require music to dance. She taught us not to wait for adventure to find you. โ€˜Go find it. Itโ€™s everywhere.โ€™ And find it we shall.โ€ He added, โ€œAs I drove our boys, the true loves of her life, down the winding driveway and street, she would yell BYE! until we were out of earshot and into the world. I can still hear it ringing. Bye my Buddie. โ€˜I love you little familyโ€ฆโ€™โ€

The creator of the video game โ€œThe Last of Us,โ€ Neil Drummond, posted a tribute to Wersching on Twitter. He wrote, โ€œWe just lost a beautiful artist and human being. My heart is shattered. Thoughts are with her loved ones.โ€

Jon Casser, the director and producer on the series โ€œ24,โ€ also commented on Werschingโ€™s death. He said, โ€œMy heart is broken in more pieces than I can count. Annie came into my world with an open heart and a contagious smile. Brandishing such talent, she took my breath away. Annie became more than a workmate, she became a real friend to me, my family and every cast and crew member that worked with her. Sheโ€™ll be truly missed by them and the fans she always found time to interact with. Annie youโ€™ll be missed, you left your mark, and weโ€™re all the better for it.โ€
