Actress & Supermodel Passed Away Due To Suspected Carbon Monoxide Leak

Dayle Haddon, a  supermodel who graced countless magazine covers and appeared in popular TV shows and films, passed away at 76. Authorities report that she died on Friday in Solebury, Pennsylvania, due to an apparent carbon monoxide leak.

According to the Solebury Township Police Department, Dayle Haddon was found deceased on Friday morning in a second-floor bedroom of a detached office and in-law suite at a local residence. A 76-year-old man, Walter J. Blucas, was discovered unconscious nearby and is currently hospitalized in critical condition. Walter J. Blucas is the father of actor Marc Blucas.

Per the Police investigation “indicates a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the carbon monoxide leak.”

“The officers and members of the Solebury Township Police Department wish to extend our sincere condolences to the Haddon and Blucas families,” the statement continued. “This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of carbon monoxide safety precautions in our homes.”

The residence where the incident occurred was owned by Dayle Haddon’s daughter, Ryan Haddon, and her husband, Hallmark actor Marc Blucas.

Dayle Haddon was a Canadian model, actress, and author who became an international icon of beauty and elegance. Born on May 26, 1948, in Montreal, Quebec, she began her career as a ballet dancer before transitioning to modeling, where she graced the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and countless other leading magazines. Known for her timeless appeal, Haddon broke barriers by promoting beauty for women of all ages, serving as a spokesperson for major brands like L’Oréal and Estée Lauder.

In addition to her modeling career, Haddon made a mark in film and television during the 1970s and 1980s. She appeared in notable productions such as North Dallas Forty, Max Headroom, and The Hitchhiker, showcasing her talent as a versatile actress.

Later in life, Haddon authored several books, including The 5 Principles of Ageless Living, sharing her philosophy on beauty and wellness. She also became a UNICEF ambassador, dedicating her time to humanitarian efforts around the world.
