Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a central figure in shaping the Democrats’ narrative around the events of January 6, 2021, is facing increasing backlash as new allegations emerge that challenge her motives and actions.
Critics across the nation are reexamining her role, accusing her of orchestrating the Capitol breach for political advantage. The scrutiny has intensified with the circulation of video clips and social media posts, including an alleged previous admission from her own daughter, Alexandra Pelosi, suggesting that the so-called “insurrection” was staged for political purposes.
Pelosi’s post, which highlighted the “courage of law enforcement” and her dedication to democracy, was met with skepticism and ridicule online. Many critics accused her of either orchestrating or mishandling the events of that day.
She wrote on X:
Four years ago today, our nation watched in horror as a terrorist mob stormed the Capitol grounds and desecrated our Temple of Democracy in a violent attempt to subvert the peaceful transfer of power. The January 6th insurrection shook our Republic to its core — and left behind physical scars and emotional trauma on members of our Congressional community and our Country that endure to this day.
We must never forget the extraordinary courage of law enforcement officers on January 6th who stood in the breach and stared down the insurrectionists to protect the Capitol, the Congress and the Constitution. We are forever grateful to these heroes whose valor ensured that democracy survived on that dark day — and we continue to pray for the fallen, the afflicted and their families.
The parable of January 6th reminds us that our precious democratic institutions are only as strong as the courage and commitment of those entrusted with their care. On January 6th, we gave proof through the night that our Flag was still there by returning to the Capitol to certify the election results and demonstrate to America and the world that our Democracy prevailed.
As we gather today under President Lincoln’s dome to uphold our oath and peacefully certify the will of the people, we all share a responsibility to preserve American democracy — which Lincoln called, “the last best hope of earth.”
Several users responded, with some posting a video that was initially obtained by the House Administration Committee on Oversight taken by daughter Alexandra, where Pelosi said, “I take responsibility” for the security failures at the Capitol that day.
au contraire. Your own daughter doesn’t believe a word you’re saying. https://t.co/y9MdT6uDCc

I thought so !
Here is some Truth.
President Donald J Trump offered you additional security twice for the Capital on January 6th…that is all documented…you refused and then denied his offers…
However…Privately…In this video…You accepted Full Accountability… pic.twitter.com/AhxS9QhdYP
Regarding the footage, the Oversight Committee, chaired by Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), said that Jan. 6 Committee co-chairs Rep. Benny Thompson (D-MS) and now-former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyoming), had obtained it but did not release it to the public, nor did they archive the footage at the end of the 117th Congress or turn it over to the incoming Republican majority.
“As Nancy Pelosi was being evacuated from the Capitol on January 6, 2021 she admitted that, as Speaker of the House, she was responsible for the security failures, and for not having the National Guard at the Capitol,” he said in June. “It’s time to tell the truth.”
“However, after the dust settled from the breach of the Capitol, she spent 20 million taxpayer dollars for her January 6 Select Committee to create a narrative that shifted the blame on President Trump,” he continued.
“The Democrats’ partisan select committee went to great lengths to suppress and hide evidence that didn’t support their predetermined narrative about that day, including this video of Speaker Pelosi admitting that she was responsible for the security failures at the Capitol,” he added.
