Mexican influencer and teacher Aldo Miranda was found dead at his home in La Paz, Baja California Sur, on Tuesday, July 8. He was 32.
According to local authorities, Miranda was discovered in a second-story room of his home, and while the cause of death has not been officially confirmed, suicide is suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
Miranda rose to fame by creating viral comedy videos on social media, where he amassed over 10.2 million followers on TikTok and 486,000 on Instagram. In addition to his online success, he also worked as a teacher for Mexico’s Ministry of Public Education.
His management team, the Albe Group, confirmed the news on Instagram with a tribute post honoring his life and career.
“Having a hard time writing this today… Aldo Miranda was one of those people that life gave me thanks to social networks, but over time it became a true friendship, one of those that feel genuine, close and valuable,” the announcement said per PEOPLE.
“Sometimes the internal battles are silent and we fail to see everything someone carries inside,” the English translation read. “Aldo decided to leave early, and though that hurts deeply, I want to remember him with the love, light, and joy he left in us. We are going to miss you like you have no idea.”
