Donald Trump has made an announcement to the country

Our former President, Donald Trump, recently made a significant announcement regarding autism in America, following earlier hints during a memorial for Charlie Kirk on September 21. On the very next day, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt disclosed that both Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is the U.S. Health Secretary, would be speaking at 4:00 PM about this topic.
Before the official conference took place, rumors were circulating that Trump and RFK Jr. would identify Tylenol as a contributing factor to autism in the United States. This speculation has stirred quite a bit of controversy, prompting Leavitt to request that people listen to Trump’s words with ‘open ears’ and to ‘tone down the judgment,’ as reported by the BBC.
During Kirkโs memorial service, Trump alluded to this major announcement by stating: “Tomorrow we are going to have the biggest medical announcement in the history of the country. I think youโre going to find it to be amazing. I think we have an answer to autism.”

Understanding Autism
The National Autistic Society from Britain describes autism as a condition that impacts how individuals experience and interact with the world around them. Autism, according to their definition, is a lifelong neurological difference and a disability.
They further explain, “To receive a diagnosis, autistic individuals must exhibit differences in how they think, feel, and communicate compared with non-autistic people. Being autistic can mean reacting to and feeling things differently, and socializing may become confusing or exhausting. Loud or crowded places might cause overwhelming feelings, while having intense interests and a need for routine can be common. In some cases, repeated movements or actions help in calming or showing joy, but masking discomfort to fit in can lead to mental health issues.”
What You Should Know About Tylenol
In the U.S., Tylenol is a well-known pain reliever primarily made up of acetaminophen, which is referred to as paracetamol in places like the UK. It is commonly taken for relief from pain and fever.

The product’s website notes: “Acetaminophen is a pain reliever and fever reducer, thought to assist in alleviating minor aches by lifting the overall pain threshold, thus making sensations of pain less intense. It combats fever by aiding the body in eliminating extra heat.”
Trump’s Views on Autism and Tylenol
Trump asserts a stark increase in autism rates, quoting a rise from one in 10,000 to one in 31 in some American regions. He suggests that Tylenol could potentially be linked to this increase. Trump also indicated that the FDA is ‘strongly recommending’ limiting Tylenol use during pregnancy unless it is absolutely necessary, and doctors will be informed of this advice.
Reflecting his personal stance, Trump remarked that he thinks pregnant women should avoid Tylenol altogether.

“My opinion is that you shouldnโt consume it, and completely refrain from it throughout your entire pregnancy,” Trump relayed to The Telegraph. “They may tell you that in the later stages of pregnancy, but I believe it should be avoided from start to finish, and not given to the child afterwards either.”
Response from Tylenol Regarding the Allegations
Before Trump’s official claim, the manufacturer of Tylenol issued a statement to the BBC denying that their medication is linked to autism. They said: “Independent and scientifically sound research demonstrates that acetaminophen does not cause autism.”
The statement continued: “We strongly oppose any assertions to the contrary and are deeply concerned about the potential health risks that these claims pose to expecting mothers.”
