Donald Trump’s health has been a topic of widespread discussion recently. Some have suggested that he might be experiencing dementia, while others point to his swollen ankles and bruises on his hands as signs of possible health issues. A surprising theory has now emerged from an advisor to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. regarding these concerns.

The notion that Donald Trump is suffering from dementia has been largely propagated by his critics. Only last week, Illinois Governor JB Pritzker voiced such claims, following in the footsteps of numerous others.
Concerns have also been raised due to the visible bruises on Trump’s hands—which the White House attributes to the numerous handshakes he performs—and his notably swollen ankles. These observations have stirred public concern about his overall health condition.
Back in July, Donald Trump underwent an extensive examination, which included detailed vascular studies conducted by the White House Medical Unit. His physician, Sean Barbabella, reported mild swelling in Trump’s lower legs.
The medical statement elaborated, “The president underwent a comprehensive examination, including diagnostic vascular studies. Bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, especially in those over the age of 70.”
Dr. Sean Barbabella further noted that there was no evidence of more serious conditions such as deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease. All lab tests were within normal parameters, and an echocardiogram showed no signs of heart failure or other major health issues.
Unconventional Doctor Offers a New Perspective
Recently, another perspective on Donald Trump’s health has come from Dr. Aseem Malhotra, a British cardiologist known for his contentious viewpoints. Dr. Malhotra has served as an advisor for the lobby group Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) and has previously been criticized by several medical bodies, including the British Heart Foundation.
According to The Daily Beast, Dr. Malhotra communicated his concerns to the Trump administration, not due to concerns over “brain fog” or swelling, but because of the medications Trump takes, such as statins and aspirin.
Dr. Malhotra expressed his thoughts to the Daily Beast, saying, “I have seen reports of Donald Trump displaying signs of dementia, and there is awareness of his chronic venous insufficiency, which may lead to swollen ankles and hands. I do not believe he has dementia; rather, the side effects from statins might be causing symptoms like fatigue and sleepiness.”
A Proposal for Health Optimization
At an event that was live-streamed on the “Make Europe Healthy Again” website, Dr. Malhotra described Trump as “almost superhuman” and suggested ways to enhance his health further.
He stated, “If I were his physician, I would focus on optimizing his health further. Stopping his aspirin and cholesterol-lowering medications could be the first step, as they might be reducing his lifespan and causing fatigue.”
Dr. Malhotra mentioned, “For someone like President Trump, who tests show has no significant vascular disease, the risk of a serious life-threatening bleed from aspirin is higher than the prevention of a heart attack or stroke it offers.”
It’s crucial to remember that individuals should not stop their prescribed medications without first consulting with their healthcare providers.
