Donald Trump’s AI-Generated Video Sparks Outrage Among Protesters

Donald Trump recently shared an AI-generated video depicting a controversial scenario on his social media platform, Truth Social, causing quite a stir. This came on the heels of nationwide protests against his policies, known as the No Kings protests, which took place across various U.S. cities on Sunday, October 19.
These protests were in response to rumored attempts by Trump to centralize power, with participants expressing their discontent through slogans like โDemocracy not Monarchyโ and โThe Constitution is not optional.โ Key locations for these demonstrations included major cities such as New York, Miami, and Los Angeles, and they spanned across all 50 states.
The video, which quickly spread across platforms like X (formerly Twitter) and Reddit, portrayed Trump as a simulacrum of kingly authority, piloting a fantastical “King Trump” jet while the iconic song “Danger Zone” from the 1986 film Top Gun played in the background.

In a depiction that many found disrespectful, the video showed a crowned Trump appearing to drop what looked like buckets of excrement on presumed protesters below, causing an uproar among viewers.
The reactions online were quite unanimous in their shock and disbelief. One commenter on Reddit remarked on the unprecedented nature of such actions from a president, while others shared similar sentiments of disappointment and disbelief.
Music and More Controversy
Alongside the initial video, another clip surfaced featuring the song โHail to the Kingโ by Avenged Sevenfold. In this video, Trump was shown placing a crown upon his head, further fueling the discussions surrounding his alleged monarchic aspirations.
Within political circles, reactions were mixed. Some Republicans, including House Speaker Mike Johnson, have labeled the protests as “Hate America” rallies, with accusations that House Democrats were even using these events to promote merchandise.

Johnson has also been quoted expressing frustrations and placing blame on the ongoing governmental issues as a distraction tactic from the protests, claiming Democrats are hesitant to resolve the current government shutdown due to pressures from their supporters.
In contrast, the organizers behind the No King movement have challenged Johnsonโs remarks, noting that his statements are an evasion from real issues like reopening the government and improving conditions for Americans. They argue that he’s targeting citizens who are uniting peacefully to reject monarchical tendencies in government.
Amidst the rising tensions, Trump reportedly commented on the rallies during an interview with Fox News. He highlighted that while the label of “king” was applied to him, it certainly wasn’t his reality or intention to assume such a role.
