Former Child Star From ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ Passed Away At 42

Floyd Roger Myers Jr., best known for his childhood role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, has died at the age of 42 after a long struggle with heart problems.

According to TMZ, Myers passed away from a heart attack at his home in Maryland on Wednesday morning. His mother, Renee Trice, confirmed the heartbreaking news, sharing that she had spoken to her son just the night before his sudden death.

Renee Trice told the New York Post that her son had endured three heart attacks over the past three years. Floyd Roger Myers Jr. is survived by his four children.

Myers made his acting debut in 1992, portraying a young Will Smith in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, according to IMDb. He later gained wider recognition for his role as Marlon Jackson in the ABC miniseries The Jacksons: An American Dream, where he appeared alongside Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, and Billy Dee Williams.

His final acting credit came in 2000 with an appearance on The WB teen drama Young Americans, which aired for one season. In later years, Myers co-founded The Fellowship Men’s Group, an organization dedicated to helping men “lead, heal, and thrive,” as stated in its Instagram bio.
