Donald Trump Criticizes CNN Reporter Kaitlan Collins
Former President Donald Trump did not hold back his words, directing sharp criticism toward CNN reporter Kaitlan Collins, describing her as ‘stupid’ and ‘nasty’. In response, Collins has issued her own pointed rejoinder.

Trump’s interactions with journalists, especially women, have sparked significant debate and criticism. Previously, he drew negative attention for addressing a female reporter with the derogatory comment, ‘quiet piggy’, during a press interaction.
The tension with the media escalated further when Trump once again called out a female journalist, labeling her as ‘nasty’ and ‘stupid’.
Kaitlan Collins serves as CNN’s White House correspondent and is known for her program, The Source with Kaitlan Collins. During a White House press session, she questioned President Trump regarding the ongoing renovations at the White House, specifically about the construction of a larger ballroom reportedly funded through private means.
This question appeared to provoke Trump, who later vented on social media, albeit with a misspelling of Collins’ name, adding fuel to the fire.

On his platform, Truth Social, Trump posted: โCaitlin Collinโs of Fake News CNN always Stupid and Nasty, asked why the new Ballroom was costing more than expected.โ
He elaborated that the ballroom project is now targeted to be twice its original size, boasting higher-end finishes and enhanced viewing columns.
Trump asserted that the initiative remains ‘under budget and ahead of schedule’, emphasizing it is ‘much bigger and more beautiful than originally envisioned’. He insisted that no taxpayer funds were involved, as the project is supposedly covered by private donations.
The former president also delivered another tirade against ‘FAKE NEWS CNN’.
In defense of their colleague, a CNN spokesperson emphasized Kaitlan Collins’ prowess, stating: ‘Kaitlan Collins is an exceptional journalist, bringing thoroughness and determination to her role both in the White House and on ground reporting. Her exemplary work as an anchor for CNN earns her trust from audiences globally.’
In a personal comeback, Collins took to her Instagram Stories, spotlighting Trump’s post with a caption that clarified: โTechnically my question was about Venezuela.โ

She sought to redirect the focus towards a crucial issueโthe bombing off Venezuela’s coast that resulted in over 80 casualties.
These military actions invited international criticism, as the incident involved a controversial ‘double tap’ strategy, where a secondary strike is executed targeting the initial survivors, classified as a war crime internationally.
The Trump administration has consistently denied any legal violations related to these operations.
A Pentagon spokesperson, Sean Parnell, clarified, โOur current operations in the Caribbean adhere strictly to U.S. and international law, aligning fully with the law governing armed conflict.โ
