Former President Trump remains resolved in his remarks following the deaths of actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife, despite facing a wave of criticism.

Following the passing of Reiner and his wife, Michele, Trump’s message has sparked significant backlash, with many deeming it disheartening and inappropriate.
Rob Reiner, aged 78, and his wife, aged 68, were found deceased in their Los Angeles residence on Sunday, December 14. The authorities received a call to offer medical assistance and upon arrival, initiated an investigation regarding their deaths.

Records from the Los Angeles County Sheriffโs Department indicate that the coupleโs son, Nick Reiner, age 32, was apprehended the following day, facing charges linked to the incident. He is currently under custody with bail set at $4 million.
The entertainment world and the public have displayed an outpouring of tributes, overshadowed by Trump’s contentious message.
On the Truth Social platform, Trump referred to the passing as “sad,” but directed sharp criticism at Reiner, accusing him of suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He suggested that Reinerโs negative views towards him had adversely impacted his career, ultimately concluding his message by wishing the couple peace.
When questioned during a White House press briefing about the backlash to his comments, Trump unapologetically reiterated his stance, stating, “I was never a fan of Reiner.”

Trump’s words have ignited further outrage online, drawing harsh criticism and sparking debate over decency and respect.
Numerous voices expressed their disapproval online, labeling the comments as “shameful” and “disgusting,” emphasizing a perceived lack of empathy given the tragic circumstance.
Detractors are incredulous that Trump would persist with his initial remarks, speculating on whether he will continue to defend or distance himself from them.
