Trump Commands Generals to Formulate ‘Greenland Invasion Plan’ Following Stern Warning

The situation concerning the United States and Greenland has taken another turn as former President Donald Trump has reportedly instructed senior military officials to conceive a plan for a potential invasion of Greenland.

Trump has consistently shown interest in acquiring Greenland, but recent developments have intensified the dialogue. His commands have sparked increased unease among Greenland, Denmark, and the US. Last week, Trump’s statements on the matter suggested rising tensions among these regions.

He declared that the US might act on Greenland “whether they like it or not,” and noted, “Weโ€™re going to be doing something with Greenland, either the nice way or the more difficult way.”

The foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland, Lars Lรธkke Rasmussen and Vivian Motzfeldt, are scheduled to discuss the situation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to explore future actions.

Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen recently expressed grave concerns, labeling this moment as a “fateful moment.”

She remarked, “We are at a crossroads, and this is a fateful moment. The stakes are greater than they appear because if we perceive the Americans as turning their backs on our NATO alliance, it will change everything.”

Trumpโ€™s Stance on Greenland

While aboard Air Force One, Trump commented on the Greenland topic, denying any direct offers to acquire the Arctic territory.

“I havenโ€™t done that. Greenland should consider the deal, as it does not want Russia or China to intervene,” he mentioned, adding that Greenlandโ€™s defense capabilities are minimal against powerful nations like Russia and China.

“We will ensure this does not occur, and if it impacts NATO, so be it. They need us more than the other way around,” said Trump, emphasizing his administrationโ€™s broader goals.

He further stated, “If we donโ€™t claim Greenland, Russia or China will, and thatโ€™s not an option while Iโ€™m president.”

Over the weekend, some reports suggested that Trump’s advisors have cautioned him against military action, though sources indicate he has tasked the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) with drafting a strategy.

Speculated Greenland Invasion Plan

While some military commanders question the legality and congressional support for such actions, Trump’s advisors seek alternatives to divert his attention.

They have proposed considering other operations, like managing Russian “ghost” ships or addressing tensions involving Iran, to satisfy the presidentโ€™s ambitions.

“Since Congress would not permit an exit from NATO, occupying Greenland could lead to a European withdrawal from NATO,” a source suggested in the media. “Ending NATO may be feasibly achieved this way.”

Diplomatically, sources add, “The generals view Trumpโ€™s Greenland proposal as irrational and unlawful and attempt to redirect him with other significant military maneuvers.”
