Trump Criticized for Mocking Biden in Public Speech

Many people have expressed strong disapproval of former President Trump’s recent depiction of President Joe Biden. This was viewed as a crude imitation during a public event, which sparked widespread criticism.

Trump has never hidden his disdain for President Biden, often calling him โ€œSleepy Joeโ€ and attributing the nation’s current challenges to Biden’s policies. However, during a public appearance, he took his criticism further by openly mimicking Biden.

On a Tuesday meeting at the Detroit Economic Club in Michigan, Trump introduced his controversial impersonation midway through his speech. He cheekily remarked, “You know, when you come up here, youโ€™re taking a big risk. Especially me, because I go off the teleprompter about 80 percent of the time.

โ€œBut isnโ€™t it nice to have a president who can do that?โ€

This drew some laughs from the audience. Continuing his impersonation, Trump said: โ€œDo you remember the speeches Joe used to give? First of all, they only lasted a few seconds.โ€

Mocking Biden’s Style

Trump further lampooned Biden by suggesting he would โ€œalways cough before speaking,โ€ following this with his own exaggerated cough as part of the act.

He went on to accuse Biden’s speeches of being โ€œvery short,โ€ except for one instance where he implied Biden seemed โ€œout of itโ€ and โ€œfloating.โ€

โ€œRemember that time? He was floating,โ€ Trump recalled to his listeners. โ€œWay up thereโ€ฆ that was a bad speech. But hey, he made it throughโ€”if you call that making it through.โ€

Despite Trump finding humor in his rendition, the reaction online was less than amused.

Online Reactions and Criticisms

A clip of the speech began circulating widely, and one Reddit user voiced his outrage, calling Trump โ€œAn absolute disgrace of a human being who gives others permission to behave in the most hateful ways possible.โ€

Another concerned commenter expressed fear that younger generations might consider such conduct as normal for a president. They added that Trump’s behavior had inflicted severe damage on the country.

โ€œHe sounds exactly like what he is,โ€ noted one user, with another commenting, โ€œThere truly is no limit to this manโ€™s lack of decency.โ€

The controversial comments came just hours after Trump’s visit to a Ford factory, where he faced direct criticism from an employee.

During this encounter, the worker hurled an insult at Trump, who responded with a crude gesture by raising his middle finger. The worker was subsequently terminated by the company, yet supporters have managed to raise a significant sum of money for him online.
