Over $350,000 Raised for Man Who Confronted Trump

Donald Trump didnโ€™t appreciate having his integrity questioned.

A gentleman was suspended from his job after he had some choice words for the president, but the public has offered overwhelming support through a generous fundraising effort.

On January 13, Trump made a visit to a Ford plant in Michigan. Things took an unexpected turn when one of the workers boldly accused him of being a โ€˜protector of pedophiles.โ€™ This confrontation was captured and shared by TMZ, showing the workerโ€™s claim followed by what seemed like an inappropriate gesture from Trump.

The man’s remarks likely stemmed from dissatisfaction over the slow disclosure of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein. The worker, later identified as TJ Sabula who is 40, found himself out of a job at Ford following the incident.

Sabula has spoken about the situation publicly, expressing no remorse about speaking his mind. โ€œAs far as calling him out, definitely no regrets whatsoever,โ€ he told The Washington Post. He believes that his outspokenness led to his suspension, suspecting it was an act of political revenge because he embarrassed the president.

โ€œOpportunities like this donโ€™t present themselves often, and youโ€™ve got to be ready when they do,โ€ he noted. โ€œToday, I think I seized it.โ€

The White Houseโ€™s response was less than favorable, dismissing Sabula as a ‘lunatic.’ In a statement, White House Communications Director Steven Cheung remarked that Sabulaโ€™s actions were a chaotic outburst deserving Trump’s direct response.

After losing his job, supporters rallied around Sabula by starting a GoFundMe page. At present, this campaign has amassed $355,474 to support him.

The fundraiserโ€™s bio reads: โ€œPlease help us support TJ Sabulaโ€”a patriot who bravely called out President Trumpโ€”by helping with his expenses and pushing for the release of pertinent documents.โ€

Initiated by Sean Williams, the fundraiser is now overseen by Sabula himself.

As the incident caught more attention online, Fordโ€™s Executive Director of Corporate Communications, David Tovar, addressed it to CNN. He acknowledged the viral clip, reiterating Fordโ€™s commitment to respect and propriety, adding, โ€œWe do have protocols for handling such situations, though we don’t discuss specific employee issues publicly.โ€
