Autopsy Released by Renee Good’s Family Reveals Haunting New Details

The family of Renee Good has shared the results of an independent autopsy following her unfortunate passing. They have initiated their own investigation into the events surrounding her death.

On January 7, Renee Good tragically lost her life in Minneapolis, Minnesota, when ICE officer Jonathan Ross shot her. This incident occurred just after she dropped her six-year-old child at school. In the wake of her death, there was significant public outcry, both online and through protests held in Minneapolis. Initially, the Department of Homeland Security suggested that Good was attempting to harm ICE agents with her vehicle, going so far as to label her a “domestic terrorist.” However, later video evidence contradicted this account.

The Romanucci and Blandin law firm, which is now representing Good’s family, has shared with People Magazine that Renee and her partner, Rebecca, were on their way home when they noticed a group of ICE agents and stopped, intending to observe and assist their neighbors.

In a tense encounter with multiple ICE officers, Renee attempted to drive away from the scene. Unfortunately, she was shot at close range by Ross. The Minneapolis Police and Fire Department reported that the 37-year-old mother was shot three times.

This tragic incident has stirred a significant amount of debate. People from diverse backgrounds have voiced their opinions, portraying Good either as an aggressor or as a victim of an unjust shooting as she tried to leave the scene.

Renee’s family has engaged the services of the same law firm that represented George Floyd’s family after his death in Minnesota when a police officer knelt on his neck for an extended period.

A new autopsy report has been filed, resulting in the opening of a private investigation into the circumstances of Good’s death.

The preliminary findings released by Romanucci and Blandin emphasize the family’s commitment to transparency about this tragedy.

The pathologist’s report identified three distinct gunshot wounds: one in her left forearm, another in her right breast, and a third in the left side of her head. The fatal shot passed through her head, leaving through the right side.

Antonio M. Romanucci, the lead attorney representing Good’s family, has stated that the evidence gathered so farโ€”and what they will continue to collectโ€”will serve their case well.

Romanucci expressed, “The video evidence clearly illustrates the events of January 7, 2026, especially when assessed against standards of reasonable policing and the totality of circumstances.”

He further assured, “Our legal team pledges to maintain determined and proactive advocacy for Reneeโ€™s rights and her family’s quest for justice.”

We remember and honor the life of Renee Good.
