Legendary Performer Postpones Vegas Shows As Health Battle Continues

Legendary singer Barry Manilow has announced a temporary pause on his Las Vegas residency as he continues to focus on his health ahead of a major arena tour later this year.

On Wednesday, Feb. 4, the 82-year-old music icon revealed that he is postponing his scheduled Feb. 12–21 performances at the Westgate Las Vegas. The decision comes as Manilow recovers from a medical procedure he underwent late last year to remove a cancerous spot on his left lung.

In a statement shared with fans on Instagram, Manilow offered reassurance about his condition and recovery. “I’m doing great and recovering very well after my surgery,” he wrote. “I’ve been getting exercise and spending some time in the studio, which has been fantastic.”

Despite feeling strong, Manilow explained that his doctors advised him to slow down slightly before returning to a demanding performance schedule. “With my doctor’s guidance and recommendation, however, we have decided to postpone my residency dates at Westgate Las Vegas from February 12–21 so I can stay focused on healing and getting ready for the tour that’s kicking off at the end of February,” he said. He added with his signature optimism, “Having a few weeks to rest and prepare is what the doctor ordered!”

The announcement sparked an outpouring of love from fans across social media. “Get well soon ❤️,” one supporter commented. Another wrote, “🙏🏼🩵 praying for healing and strength,” while a third assured the singer, “Take all the time you need. We will always be here for you! Continued prayers and hugs. ❤️”

According to the venue, tickets for the postponed Las Vegas shows will be fully refundable at the original point of purchase, easing concerns for fans who had already made plans to attend.

Manilow is still expected to return to the stage later this month. His 2026 arena tour is set to kick off on Friday, Feb. 27, with a performance in Tampa, Florida, at the Benchmark International Arena. From there, the tour will travel across the East Coast and Midwest, with stops in cities including Charlotte, Baltimore, Nashville, Orlando, and Cincinnati. The tour is scheduled to wrap up at the end of April in Duluth, Georgia, at Gas South Arena.

Following the early leg of the tour, Manilow will also return to Las Vegas for additional Westgate residency dates on March 26–28.
