Trump Strongly Criticizes Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime Performance

A Fiery Reaction to Bad Bunnyโ€™s Show at the Super Bowl

Bad Bunny made quite an impact during his halftime performance at Super Bowl LX, a spectacle that didnโ€™t sit well with everyone, especially former President Donald Trump. The artist performed on Sunday, February 8, at Leviโ€™s Stadium, thrilling fans with an entirely Spanish-language show that featured his popular hits, all set against the backdrop of a stage designed to look like a sugarcane field.

While many enjoyed Bad Bunnyโ€™s unique style and energetic performance, not everyone was impressed. Some viewers, unfamiliar with the Spanish language or his musical style, found the performance hard to follow. This reaction was reflected in social media discussions, where opinions varied widely.

Former President Trump was among those who expressed criticism. Known for his outspoken views, he did not hold back, calling the performance โ€œdisgustingโ€ despite Bad Bunnyโ€™s impressive credentials, which include six Grammy Awards and being the most-streamed artist on Spotify for four years running.

Trump’s Response on Social Media

On Truth Social, Trump criticized the Super Bowl Halftime Show, declaring, โ€œThe Super Bowl Halftime Show is absolutely terrible, one of the worst, EVER! It makes no sense, is an affront to the Greatness of America, and doesnโ€™t represent our standards of Success, Creativity, or Excellence.โ€

He continued his criticism by stating, โ€œNobody understands a word this guy is saying, and the dancing is disgusting, especially for young children that are watching from throughout the U.S.A., and all over the World.โ€

Trump viewed the show as a negative reflection on the country, adding, โ€œThis โ€˜Showโ€™ is just a โ€˜slap in the faceโ€™ to our Country, which is setting new standards and records every single day โ€” including the Best Stock Market and 401(k)s in History!โ€

He finished off with a remark about the media, saying, โ€œThere is nothing inspirational about this mess of a Halftime Show and watch, it will get great reviews from the Fake News Media, because they havenโ€™t got a clue of what is going on in the REAL WORLD.โ€

Trump also took the opportunity to criticize an NFL rule, urging, โ€œAnd, by the way, the NFL should immediately replace its ridiculous new Kickoff Rule. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!โ€

Earlier, Trump spoke to the New York Post, where he expressed his discontent with the politics of some Super Bowl performers, such as the band Green Day, known for their critical stance on ICE and pro-MAGA policies.

Despite his previous claim of being unfamiliar with Bad Bunny, he commented, โ€œIโ€™m anti-them. I think itโ€™s a terrible choice. All it does is sow hatred. Terrible.โ€

It’s clear that Trump’s views were unlikely to be swayed by the performance of the Puerto Rican superstar, whose show celebrated a language spoken by over 40 million Americans and 600 million people globally.

The showโ€™s ending featured a billboard with a message, โ€œthe only thing more powerful than hate is love,โ€ and concluded with Bad Bunny surrounded by Latin American performers, holding a football that read: โ€œTogether we are America.โ€
