The tragic decline of beautiful “Twin Peaks” actress Lara Flynn Boyle

Lara Flynn Boyle will always be remembered by many fans as Donna Hayward, Laura Palmer’s closest friend on David Lynch’s legendary and arguably groundbreaking television series “Twin Peaks.”

Off the back of this role, Boyle rose to fame in the 1990s. But since then, Boyle has garnered attention mostly for her striking physical transformation, which many attribute to several plastic surgery.

Boyle seemed to have it all as she rose to fame in the 1990s. She seemed bold and was attractive and intelligent. The performer appeared to own her “bad girl” persona in a 2001 interview with Vanity Fair (reported by the New York Post).

“I’m the kind of lady who, when she walks into a party, all the other women leave the room,” Boyle said to the publication. I believe that I frighten people. I’m an evil chick. Some of the biggest names in Hollywood were drawn to Boyle’s rebellious aura; among them were Kyle MacLachlan, David Spade, and Jack Nicholson.

Why then did the stunning actor who doesn’t hold back radically alter her appearance? And what impact did it have? Read on to learn how Boyle’s career was harmed by plastic surgery.

Laura Flynn Boyle was concerned about aging and losing chances to younger actors, according to The Daily Mail. In 2014, Flynn was quoted by the British newspaper as saying, “I know I may be running out of time.” For older women, there are simply not that many parts available. In terms of vanity, I don’t really look forward to getting older because I think I look good right now.

Boyle may have started having cosmetic treatments while she was in her 30s because she was afraid of growing older. Ironically, Boyle’s plastic surgery may have negatively changed her appearance, resulting in fewer roles.

In an interview with The Daily Mail in 2010, Boyle’s plastic surgeon, Paul S. Nassif, MD, FACS, discussed Boyle’s appearance. He claimed that “Lara Flynn Boyle appears to have undergone rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, Botox, cosmetic fillers, and perhaps a browlift and facelift.” “She should forego any additional treatments and would not benefit at this time from having more work done.” Dr. Michael Salzhauer, a plastic surgeon, concurred, saying to the publication, “I feel that Lara Flynn Boyle has gone far with the fillers to her cheeks and lips.”

Hollywood, however, adores a return.

After releasing her last movie, “Death in Texas,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in June that “I never went anyplace.”
