Donald Trump has received an updated approval rating slightly more than a year into his second term as President of the United States.

A recent poll conducted by Fox News asked voters how they currently view Trump’s presidency, including his performance on key issues such as immigration, foreign policy, the economy, and tariff policies.

The survey questioned 1,004 registered voters between February 28 and March 2, shortly before the reported US-Israel strikes on Iran.

According to the results, Trump’s disapproval rating remains relatively high. In the Fox News poll, his disapproval has fluctuated between 51% and 58% since March 2025, and the newest data shows 57% of voters disapprove of his performance. Nearly two-thirds of respondents also said they believe he is focusing on the wrong priorities.

The results were strongly divided along party lines. About 97% of Democrats surveyed said they disapproved of Trump, while 87% of Republicans said they approved of his leadership.

The poll also measured opinions about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Around 60% of respondents said they disapproved of the agency’s actions, while 42% expressed approval.

When asked about the most important issues facing the country right now, voters ranked the cost of living as the top concern, chosen by 50% of respondents. Other issues mentioned included government spending (18%), jobs (10%), income inequality (9%), and tariffs (8%). About 4% listed taxes as the biggest problem.

Trump performed better in one area: border security. In that category, 52% of respondents approved of his handling of the issue, while 48% disapproved.

White House spokesperson Davis Ingle responded to the poll by pointing out that, according to averages compiled by RealClearPolitics, Trump’s approval rating at this point in his second term is higher than that of former presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush at the same stage.
