Rumors have been swirling that singer Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, and her hubby of 20 years, former pro-motocross racer Carey Hart, may be splitting up. But according to Pink, that’s not happening, and it’s news to her.
In a video on Instagram, she said, “So I was just alerted to the fact that I’m separated from my husband. I didn’t know.” She added, “Thank you for letting me know. Would you also like to tell our children? My 14-year-old and my 9-year-old are also unaware.”

But her comments don’t necessarily mean that the rumors aren’t true. According to a source who spoke to Page Six, “They haven’t worked out the technicalities of how it will work with the kids and where they’ll each be based full time.” The source added that “they weren’t ready to have it out there just yet … Pink just wants to protect the kids, which is entirely fair.”
The source described Pink as “blindsided” by the rumors.
For his part, Hart has stayed quiet on the matter, not speaking about it at all and not commenting on Pink’s video.
The couple recently moved from California to New York City so their 14-year-old daughter Willow can pursue her dreams of Broadway. Hart and Pink are currently living together with their children, Willow and their 9-year-old son Jameson.
The source claims that even though the couple is planning to separate, they may appear closer than ever in the meantime as they work out how to coparent their children. The source explained, “They want to be a united front for their kids, and so they are staying very close to each other right now — but it’s literally because they are laying the groundwork for what comes next.”
One example of this extra closeness happened over the weekend when the whole family went to see the Broadway musical “& Juliet” which even featured a Pink song. Watch the video below for more about this news and what else may be on the horizon for Pink.
