Ffitness influencer Stephanie Buttermore has died at the age of 36. Her fiancée, bodybuilder Jeff Nippard, announced the sad news on Instagram writing, “It is with profound sorrow that we share the sudden passing of Jeff’s fiancée and partner of ten years, Stephanie. As many of you know, Stephanie meant the world to Jeff.”
The post continued by celebrating Buttermore’s accomplishments, sharing, “She will be remembered for her warmth and compassion, her love for her family, and her PhD research on ovarian cancer.”

The statement ended with a request for “privacy as we navigate this tragic loss. Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time.”
PEOPLE reports that this tragic news comes just 2 weeks after Buttermore celebrated her birthday.
Buttermore had a lot of success as a fitness influencer, but in 2024, she decided to step away from social media. She chose to step away from Instagram to prioritize her mental health. In a post she shared explaining the consequences of her decision. She wrote, “My mental health has been the best it’s ever been.” She added, “I no longer struggle with anxiety.”
However, she did add that she misses her “social media friends and community.”
Stepping away from social media was a big decision because she had quite a big following with 535,000 followers on Instagram and over a million subscribers on YouTube.
On her YouTube channel, she described herself as a “cancer research scientist who loves fitness. I obtained my Ph.D. in pathology and cell biology with a focus on the molecular mechanisms that drive ovarian cancer progression. I mix science and fitness into all facets of life.”
Buttermore and Nippard were together for 10 years. They got engaged in 2022.
Many fans left their condolences on the announcement post for the couple’s engagement writing, “Rest in peace Steph.”
One follower wrote, “I can’t believe this 💔🥹 I loved watching her videos, especially the food ones, because I know she were a food lover just like me. Rest in peace.”
