Tori Spelling and several children were taken to the hospital after a car crash last week, her spokesperson confirmed to NBC News.
The spokesperson said Spelling, 52, best known for her role on Beverly Hills, 90210, was driving with seven children in the vehicle — four of her own and three of their friends — when another driver allegedly ran a red light at high speed and slammed into their car.
Deputies who responded to the scene in Temecula on Thursday found two damaged vehicles, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office. All occupants were evaluated at the scene, no arrests were made, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Spelling and the seven children were transported to the hospital by ambulance and treated for injuries including cuts, bruises, contusions and concussions, per TMZ, which first reported the incident.
Video obtained by TMZ showed Spelling speaking with first responders, while photos appeared to show her vehicle sustained less damage than the other car involved.
Spelling shares five children with her ex-husband Dean McDermott, ranging in age from 9 to 19.
This is not the first time she has been involved in a crash with her children. In 2011, while pregnant with her third child, Spelling said she was in a serious accident while trying to evade a paparazzo who was following her family. She later revealed that the crash caused significant damage to a wall at her children’s school, and she sought medical care to ensure her unborn baby was unharmed.
