Cheryl Ladd is opening up about a deeply personal health struggle she faced in the past.
The 74-year-old actress reunited with former co-stars Jaclyn Smith and Kate Jackson on April 6 at PaleyFest in Los Angeles, where they celebrated the 50th anniversary of Charlie’s Angels.
During the panel, Ladd revealed she had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. “Mine was an aggressive form,” she said, noting she had “wonderful doctors,” per People.

She described the experience as both difficult and humbling, sharing that she lost her hair during treatment. Despite the challenges, she credited her husband for supporting her every step of the way. “It was a long, long, hard road, but you just get on with it,” she said.
Ladd explained she chose to speak publicly about her diagnosis because cancer has touched several of her former castmates. Jaclyn Smith was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2002 and has since been cancer-free, while Kate Jackson faced the disease twice, in 1987 and again in 1989.
Their late co-star Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with anal cancer in 2006 and died three years later at age 62.
After Ladd shared her story, Smith recalled offering support during her treatment, saying she sent her wigs and praised her bravery.
Ladd also used the moment to stress the importance of early detection, urging women not to ignore any changes in their bodies and to stay on top of routine screenings.
