Farewell, ‘Emily in Paris’

Netflix has announced that its hit romantic comedy series Emily in Paris will come to an end after its upcoming sixth season.

Production on the final season recently began in Greece, with Lily Collins returning as Emily Cooper, the ambitious American marketing executive who relocates to Paris for work and finds herself navigating career challenges, friendships and complicated romances in the City of Light.

The show, created by Darren Star (Sex and the City), debuted in 2020 and quickly became one of Netflix’s most popular global series, known for its stylish fashion, picturesque European settings and lighthearted storytelling.

Collins shared a video message with fans on Thursday following the announcement, reflecting on the journey and teasing what’s to come as the beloved series prepares for its final chapter.

“After six unforgettable years of playing Emily Cooper, I’m here to share that this upcoming sixth season will be our final,” Collins said in the video per Good Morning America. “Season 6 will bring you everything you love about the show and serve as the final chapter in Emily’s adventure of a lifetime.”

She continued, “Our entire cast and crew are pouring our hearts into making this a fantastic farewell season, which we’re now filming. I can’t wait for all of the magic ahead and to celebrate our final season with you in the most chic way yet.”

“We’re so incredibly grateful, and we love you all,”

“À bientôt!”

The video included behind-the-scenes footage of Lily Collins alongside several of her Emily in Paris co-stars, including Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, Lucas Bravo, Lucien Laviscount, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, William Abadie and Eugenio Franceschini.

Ashley Park also shared her own clip after the announcement, featuring her and Collins filming in Greece, set to Like a Prayer.
