Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater have quietly ended their relationship after nearly three years together, according to TMZ. Sources close to the former couple told the outlet that the split was amicable, and that the two remain friends and continue to support one another despite deciding to end their romance.

Insiders said the breakup was carefully considered and that Grande’s upcoming music was not inspired by the split or her relationship with Slater. The pair first met while filming the movie adaptation of Wicked, in which Grande stars as Glinda and Slater plays Boq.
