Singer Lauren Bennett, best known as one of the voices featured on LMFAO’s smash hit “Party Rock Anthem,” has died.
Bennett’s death was confirmed Monday in a statement shared by G.R.L., the pop group she was formerly a member of.

“It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved Lauren,” the group said, according to the New York Post.

“Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us. We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us. Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved,” the statement added.
Originally from Meopham, Kent, England, Bennett is survived by her 6-year-old daughter, Harlow, whom she shared with dancer and Footloose actor Kenny Wormald.
Before her death, Bennett’s final Instagram post came in February, when she shared a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s classic song “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”

Lauren Bennett was an English singer, songwriter and performer from Meopham, Kent. She rose to international fame after appearing on LMFAO’s chart-topping single “Party Rock Anthem” in 2011.The hit single spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topped the charts in 20 countries, becoming one of the most recognizable dance tracks of the decade.
Before her global breakthrough, Bennett was a member of the girl group Paradiso Girls, which was formed by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
Antin later helped guide Bennett’s career into G.R.L., a girl group that gained attention for collaborations with Pitbull, including their 2014 single “Wild Wild Love.”
The group went on hiatus following the death of member Simone Battle, who died by suicide in 2014. G.R.L. later reunited for a brief comeback. Throughout her career, Bennett was known for her powerful vocals and energetic performances.
In addition to her work with G.R.L. and LMFAO, Bennett continued making music with her brother Ryan. The siblings formed BENNETT in 2017, a duo blending folk, country, blues and rock influences.
A cause of death for Bennett has not been publicly released.
