Adele Announces She Is Taking An Indefinite Break From Music

Grammy award winning singer Adele is saying Farewell for now.

While performing at a concert in Munich, Germany on August 31, the singer announced she is taking a long break. The X video shows her announcement.

“but after that [10 shows in Vegas], i will not see you for an incredibly long time… i just need a rest. i’ve spent the last 7 years building the life for myself, I want to live it now. I want to live my new life I’ve been building” — Adele

The Munich concert dates were going to be her last shows of the year; however, her Las Vegas shows were rescheduled due to her illness in March.

Also, she said she may not be on stage again for a long time. “It has been amazing, I just need a rest,” she said.

Recently, in a July interview with German broadcaster ZDF, Adele hinted that she might soon step back from touring to focus on “other creative endeavors, just for a little while.” This announcement, though surprising to her fans, reflects Adele’s desire to evolve as an artist and explore new avenues of creativity. While it remains to be seen what these new projects will be.

British singer Adele burst onto the music scene in 2008 with her debut album, “19,” which was critically acclaimed and commercially successful. The album showcased her soulful voice and ability to convey deep emotion through her music. Tracks like “Chasing Pavements” and “Hometown Glory” quickly established her as a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.

Her second album, “21,” released in 2011, solidified her status as a global superstar. Featuring hits like “Rolling in the Deep,” “Someone Like You,” and “Set Fire to the Rain,” the album was a massive success, earning Adele numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards.

Adele continued to build on her success with her third album, “25,” released in 2015. The album included the smash hit “Hello,” which became an instant classic and broke records for its music video views. “25” earned Adele another set of awards, including five more Grammys.

Adele released her last album in 2021. She told fans in January she is planning on eventually producing another album.

Despite her fame, Adele has always remained grounded and private, often shying away from the public eye. She is known for her candidness in interviews, where she speaks openly about her struggles with fame, relationships, and body image.
