Al Roker is managing to decorate the Christmas tree

Despite his chronic health problems, the weather anchor for the Today show, who is 68 years old, released photographs of himself and his family decorating their Christmas tree at home.

Despite his chronic health problems, Al Roker is looking forward to spending Christmas at home with his family and getting ready for the holiday.

On Friday, the weather anchor for the Today show, who is 68 years old, posted a series of images to Instagram of him decorating his Christmas tree while at home with his family, which includes his wife Deborah Roberts, who is 62 years old, and their children, daughter Leila, 24, and son Nick, 20.

Before posing for a picture as a group, Roker and his family can be seen in the photographs beaming as they decorate their Christmas tree with ornaments.

It was captioned with, “So glad to be well enough to decorate the Roker Family #christmastree,” and he expressed his gratitude for being able to participate.

Roker announced on his Instagram account at the beginning of this month that he had returned home after being readmitted to the hospital as a result of chronic health difficulties.

During that time, he uploaded a picture to social media that showed him standing in the kitchen of the home he shared with his wife and children.

The celebratory tweet written by Roker included the caption, “Home! I am indebted to my family, friends, the staff at the hospital, the colleagues at the Today show, and everyone who has been thinking and praying for me.”

His discharge from the hospital came just a few hours after he had posted a picture to social media of a sunrise over the city skyline and told his followers that he was hoping to be discharged from the hospital shortly.

He captioned the photo on Instagram, “Hopefully returning home soon but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and refuel.” “May God bless each and every one of you for the prayers you’ve said and the well wishes you’ve sent my way and those of my family,”

PEOPLE confirmed that Roker was sent back to the hospital in an emergency just one day after he was released from the facility on Thanksgiving. This happened earlier this month.

According to the initial allegation from Page Six, Roker, who has been recuperating from blood clots in his leg and lungs, was transported back to the hospital in an ambulance.

According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE, “Al was transported to the hospital after Thanksgiving.”
