Al Roker saddens fans

When Al Roker delivered an unexpected statement on Wednesday, which many of his followers didn’t see coming, he left his audience in a state of shock.

Following two separate stays in the hospital due to blood clots over the course of the previous month, the Today meteorologist has been recovering at home. Despite this, he chose to interrupt his recuperation in order to post his final tweet on Twitter, in which he announced that he will be departing the platform.

Before inviting his followers to connect with him on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, Al stated that he needed to “take a break.” He also said that this was necessary.

“Thank you for your help, Twitter. Before wishing his fans “Happy Holidays,” he said, “It’s time to take a vacation; we had some fantastic times, but it’s time to take a break.”

The news that he had shared shocked his followers, and one of them said, “This disappoints me, but your health is more essential.” Spend this time with your supportive family, make the most of your retirement, and don’t stop walking.

“We are looking forward to seeing your articles about incredible meals, images of beautiful scenery, and health updates. We adore you, Al!”

I appreciate it, Twitter. Even though we’ve had a lot of fun together, it’s time for us to take a break.

“Thank you for sharing your light throughout all of these years,” stated a second person. You are a treasure. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and know how much we love you!

A third person commented, saying, “Happy Holidays, Al. I hope you are feeling better. I am looking forward to continuing to follow you on Facebook and Instagram, and I hope to see you on the Today show when you feel you are ready to return.

Al is making progress in his ongoing recovery from his health issues, and he has decided to quit using Twitter as a result.

Since November, the television personality has not been seen on Today; however, he did make a brief comeback last week when his co-stars surprised him outside of his home by singing Christmas carols while donning Santa hats. The incident occurred over the holiday season.

Sharing an update on his rehabilitation, he stated, “I’m not going to lie; it has been a terrible slog. I’ve had my fair number of operations, but this one has been the most challenging by far. There are many people and things for which I should express gratitude.

He went on to say, “It instills a great sense of appreciation in you for the countless prayers and thanks that have been offered.”
