With his father, Donald Trump, stepping into the spotlight once again, Barron Trump has found himself increasingly noticed by the public. Standing tall at six foot seven, Barron is unmistakable, yet he maintains a quieter presence compared to his outspoken father.
Barron, now 19 years old, is on a different trajectory from his famous dad, starting with his educational choices. Unlike his father and siblings who favored the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown, Barron opted for New York University (NYU) as his alma mater, setting the stage for his distinct journey.
What makes Barron stand apart isn’t just his choice of college; his demeanor also displays a softness that contrasts with Donald’s lively persona.
A confidant shared with PEOPLE that Barron is “an old soul who is smart, well-spoken, and well-read.” They noted his maturity, adding, “He has observed more than most his age, which has grounded him and shaped his self-awareness.”
Another source remarked on Barron’s demeanor, noting, “He isn’t as confrontational as many of his peers. He listens intently before speaking and is exceptionally polite.”
Steering Away From the Limelight
While his father is ever-present in political circles and media, Barron prefers a more reserved approach. Though his father’s campaigns have brought more attention his way, Barron shies away from the spotlight.
During a rally last July, when crowds cheered for him, Donald quipped, “You’re pretty popular; you might even outshine Don and Eric. So, Barron, it’s great to have you.” Yet, he acknowledged Barron’s inclination towards a quieter life, noting, “His life was simple, but now things have shifted.”
Despite the large shadow cast by his father’s political endeavors, Barron stays out of the forefront and even missed Donald’s first congressional address this year. His absence is understandable given his commitments at NYU.
Living in Trump Tower, Barron focuses on his studies at NYU’s Stern School of Business, having transitioned from Florida’s Oxbridge Academy this past May.
A Unique College Experience
Barron’s college journey is unlike most freshmen, as highlighted by his mother, Melania. In an interview, she emphasized, “It’s unlikely for him to be a typical college student. His experience at college is unlike any other.”
Melania has opted to keep Barron’s life as private as possible. She asserted in a Fox News interview, “I believe when children achieve adulthood, we guide them and then allow them to make their own decisions. I always honor Barron’s choices and desires.”
Expressing pride in Barron, Melania praised, “He’s an incredible young man. His strength, intelligence, and kindness are truly admirable.”
