As the 47th president was sworn into office, Carrie Underwood sang “America the Beautiful.’
Unfortunately, as she was set to begin her performance, technical difficulties delayed her start.
In the end, she mouthed to one of the producers, “A capella. I can just sing it.”
And that exactly what she did.
“If you know the words, help me out here,” Underwood said before singing, “Oh beautiful for spacious skies,” as the crowd around her joined in.

As Underwood finished her performance, she turned around to shake former president Joe Biden’s hand, as well as Donald Trump’s and JD Vance’s.
