Celine Dion makes her first musical appearance after receiving the diagnosis.

After the chart-topping icon revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological illness that required her to take a vacation from performing, Celine Dion fans received some unsettling news last year.

Since receiving her diagnosis today, Dion released her first new song, and fans are raving about it. Even though fans won’t be able to see her perform anytime soon, it doesn’t mean they won’t get new recordings from the pop sensation.

The theme song to the May 15 movie of the same name, “Love Again,” by Dion, has just received an official lyric video.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that besides Celine Dion playing herself in her first-ever film role, the Love Again movie also stars Sam Heughan and Priyanka Chopra Jones.

The soundtrack for the movie, which will be available on May 12, includes six of Dion’s classic songs, including “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now.”

Fans will undoubtedly be anxious to hear all the songs Dion has for this new movie because several of her biggest hits have appeared on movie soundtracks, such as “Beauty and the Beast” and “Because You Loved Me” (from Up Close and Personal). Of course, “My Heart Will Go On” (from Titanic).

Fans are enthusiastic about this new song because it’s the first piece of new music she’s released in English since her 2019 album Courage and the first after she revealed a severe medical diagnosis last year.

Dion revealed that she had a “one in a million” ailment called stiff-person syndrome. This degenerative nervous system disorder affects the brain and spinal cord and can lead to excruciating spasms and restrict mobility, in a moving video shared with followers on Instagram. Although the disease is incurable, symptoms can be managed.

“I’ve always been an open book, and I wasn’t ready to say anything before, but I’m ready now,” Dion remarked.

Fans were already aware of Dion’s problems with muscle spasms, which led her to postpone her North American tour dates in January, but this is the first time she has disclosed the underlying condition.

The singer said, “We now know this is what’s been causing all of the spasms I’ve been having, even though we’re still learning about this unusual ailment. “Unfortunately, these spasms interfere with every aspect of my daily life, occasionally making it difficult to walk and preventing me from using my vocal cords to sing as I normally would.”

Even though the news devastated many of her fans around the world and was difficult for Dion, she expressed hope that with time and additional treatments, she might be able to regain her voice and resume performing.

Every day, I put in a lot of effort with my sports medicine therapist to regain my strength and performance capacity. However, I must say that it has been difficult,” Dion remarked. “My precious kids are supporting me and giving me hope, and I have a great team of doctors working with me to help me get better.”

“Seeing all of you, performing for you on stage. I always give everything I have when I perform, but now, my health prevents me from doing so.

Since that statement, Dion has kept a quiet profile, but her sister Claudette has provided updates on her health and expressed optimism.

Claudette told the Le Journal de Montreal, “I am convinced that life will repay her for what she contributed since she is an extraordinarily educated woman, very generous and talented, and in love with life. “Instead of grieving over her fate, I try to send her good vibes in the hope that she’ll return to the stage someday,”

“I have a deep faith in the efficacy of love. I certainly wish her the best of luck. Professionals are treating her as she recovers.

More than 200 million records have been sold globally by Celine Dion. A few popular singles are “The Power of Love,” “Because You Loved Me,” “It’s All Coming Back to Me Now,” and the Titanic theme song, “My Heart Will Go On.” Her diamond-selling albums, Falling into You and Let’s Talk About Love, rank among the top albums of all time.

She receives five Grammy Awards, including those for Album and Record of the Year. The highest-earning residency in music history is her previous Las Vegas performance residency.

We wish Celine Dion the best and think she has a unique gift. We’re happy she’s still putting out new music even if she can’t do concerts now.
