Erika Kirk is enduring a truly challenging period, experiencing something no one should have to face. Her husband, Charlie Kirk, passed away a few weeks ago, leaving her as a widow and their children without their father. Amidst her grieving period, a troubling rumor has emerged, accusing Erika of child trafficking.

Following the tragic loss of her husband, Erika has assumed the role of CEO of Turning Point USA. Charlie Kirk, her husband and the founder of the organization, was tragically killed during an event at Utah Valley University. The memorial service held in Glendale, Arizona, attracted a massive turnout of tens of thousands.
In the wake of Charlie’s passing, a rumor quickly began to circulate on social media. It accused Erika Kirk of participating in child trafficking through a charitable endeavor in Romania.
According to Snopes, a fact-checker website, the allegations were linked to Erika Kirkโs Romanian Angels initiative, a branch of her nonprofit, Everyday Heroes Like You. This project aimed to provide support to children living in Romanian orphanages. It involved sending letters and gifts to these children, along with organizing visits from members of the U.S. military.
The allegation spread rapidly on social media through various accounts. One particular post, which garnered over 4.6 million views, suggested, โDid yโall know Erika Kirk is banned from Romania because her Evangelical group was accused of trafficking children out of Romanian villages? Birds of a feather I suppose.โ
Another message, published on Threads, boldly stated, โIn 2011 Erika Kirk, widow of Charlie, had a ‘ministry’ in Romania that collaborated with the U.S. government until Romania asked her ministry to leave. Research the reasons. Here’s a hint: Epstein and Trump. Her ministry was accused of trafficking children from the village โ donโt believe me? Do your research.โ
Debunking the Allegation Against Erika Kirk
As of now, Erika Kirk has not publicly addressed these grave allegations. Is there truth to the claims? Snopes conducted an investigation and declared, โThere was no evidence supporting the trafficking allegation.โ
They further clarified, โThe newspaper articles concerning child trafficking in Romania that surfaced online did not include any references to Erika Kirk or her organization. Additionally, the materials from the Romanian Angels initiative shared online lacked any indication that the program was engaged in trafficking or relocating children.โ
