Country Music World Shows Support for Jelly Roll and Bunnie XO

Bunnie XO’s Insights on Living with OCD

Bunnie XO, the wife of country music artist Jelly Roll, recently opened up about her personal journey with OCD on her podcast, Dumb Blonde. She took the opportunity to shed light on common misconceptions surrounding the condition.

“Some may make light of being a little OCD, but for those of us truly living with it, it’s far from a joking matter,” Bunnie XO expressed.

She explained, “It’s not simply about keeping things clean or in order. OCD involves intrusive thoughts that are unwanted and can cause overwhelming anxiety because they just seem so wrong. It’s not something anyone chooses to dwell on.”

The Reality Behind OCD Behaviors

Bunnie delved deeper into the compulsive behaviors associated with her condition. “These actions are attempts to alleviate the anxiety caused by those troubling thoughts; however, this relief is often temporary, and the thoughts persist,” she mentioned.

“It’s a huge misconception that OCD is only about washing hands or organizing. Often, it targets what’s most important to us — be that relationships, faith, hobbies, or passions— all in a bid to ease the distress from these unwelcome thoughts,” she elaborated.

Health Scares and Life Changes

Earlier this year, Bunnie disclosed a “pretty scary” incident following an MRI/MRA, where results showed a “two-millimeter aneurysm on my carotid artery.” Fortunately, it appeared to be “an artifact.”

“This health scare has been a wake-up call for me,” Bunnie expressed to her followers. “It really made me reconsider many aspects of my life.”

Bunnie also faced a personal loss in May 2024 with the passing of her father, Bill, due to cancer.
