In August 2023, country singer Zac Brown, the lead singer of the Zac Brown Band, married his second wife, actress Kelly Yazdi. They tied the knot in Georgia, Brown’s home state.
Now, just four months later and in the middle of the holiday season, Brown and Yazdi have made the end of their relationship official. In a joint statement released by the former couple to Page Six on December 29, 2023, Brown and Yazdi explained, “We are in the process of divorce.”
Even though they no longer want to be married, they shared that “mutual respect for one another remains,” and they “wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together.”
The exes ended their statement by requesting “privacy” while they “navigate this personal matter.” Brown and Yazdi did not share any details about the reasons for the split.
The couple was actually engaged longer than they were married. Brown popped the question in the summer of 2022 when he and Yazdi were on vacation in Hawaii. She was first spotted wearing a diamond ring on her finger in July 2022 when she joined the band on tour.
In December 2022, a source explained to PEOPLE that Brown and Yazdi intentionally wanted to keep their private life private. The source called the proposal “very intimate” and “very private.”

As mentioned above, this was Brown’s second marriage. His first marriage was to Shelley Brown. They were married for 12 years and have 5 children together. They ultimately called it quits in 2018.
