After undergoing treatment for prostate cancer, Sir Elton John contracted an infection, and he recently stated that he was “24 hours from death.”
The musician, who is 75 years old and was diagnosed with cancer, decided against undergoing chemotherapy and instead underwent surgery because he did not want the ailment to be “hanging over” his family.
John described the operation he had in Los Angeles as a “perfect success” in his memoir, which is currently being published in installments in the Daily Mail. However, ten days after the procedure, he realized that something wasn’t quite right.
