Following Kate Middleton’s successful abdominal surgery, well-wishes came pouring in from fans wishing her a speedy recovery.

The Palace has issued a statement saying the Princess is expected to stay in the hospital for ten to fourteen days and will continue her recuperation at home afterward.

“Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was admitted to The London Clinic yesterday for planned abdominal surgery. The surgery was successful, and it is expected she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days, before returning home to continue her recovery. Based on current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter,” detailed the statement from Kensington Palace across its social media platforms.

Maria Borrallo, the devoted nanny who has been with the royal family since Prince George was just 8 months old, plays a crucial role during this time.

According to Hello Magazine, “She is not married and doesn’t have a boyfriend, as her life is totally dedicated to the family she is working with. She is known for being totally professional – married to the job,” shared an insider.

The Nanny’s Role and Childcare Decisions

When William and Kate are away from home, Maria Borrallo is entrusted to make all key decisions regarding the children. Royal expert Jennie Bond believes the children would manage but acknowledges they might feel some confusion.

“William is, sadly, perfectly placed to help. He knows exactly how it feels to be worried about your mum, and, in his case, to lose her. So he will be taking extra care to reassure the children and tell them as much, or as little, as he judges they need to hear,” Bond emphasized.

“I’m sure that as soon as it is appropriate, William will take them to see her in hospital, because children need that kind of face-to-face reassurance. They’ll be FaceTiming a lot, I’m sure, to show them that Mum’s alright.”

Support from Harry and Meghan

Among the many who sent their best wishes to Kate were Harry and Meghan.

A source disclosed, “The King and the Princess of Wales have received support from Prince Harry and Meghan regarding their health,” adding that the couple reached out in different ways to convey their concern and good wishes.

Their gesture has been perceived as a possible olive branch from the Sussexes, despite their ongoing rocky relationship with the larger royal family. Harry and Meghan have not taken major steps to mend these ties.

In a surprising twist, some fans of the Sussexes made controversial remarks about Kate’s hospital stay, describing it as “payback after a long, stressful period.”
