Disturbing Evidence Found in Nancy Guthrie’s Home, According To Reports

The intense search for Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy, who is 84 years old and disappeared from her Arizona home on January 31, has taken a worrying turn.

According to reports from the Los Angeles Times, police have found unsettling evidence that is causing serious concern for her well-being.

Concerns of a Possible Kidnapping

The authorities are becoming more anxious about Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. She was last seen at her residence in the Catalina Foothills, just north of Tucson, Arizona, on a Saturday.

“We are racing against time, and I hope we haven’t missed our chance,” expressed Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos to NBC’s Liz Kreutz during a segment on the Today show that aired on Tuesday, February 3.

Nancy, a mother of three, was reported missing by her family. Investigators in Arizona currently have no solid leads and are urging the public to come forward with any information.

Police suspect that Nancy was forcibly taken from her home, describing it as a “possible kidnapping or abduction.”

Due to her limited mobility, investigators believe she did not leave the home willingly, and they have ruled out cognitive issues.

“This is not related to dementia. She is as sharp as a tack,” stated Nanos.

Alarming Evidence Found

Officials have not confirmed what specifically raised suspicions of foul play, but the Los Angeles Times reports that blood was discovered in Nancy Guthrie’s Tucson home.

Citing sources from the police, the newspaper mentions that officials have not proposed any theories regarding why she may have been abducted. Law enforcement sources disclosed to the Times that the blood was found along with evidence of forced entry at her residence in Catalina Hills, Arizona; however, the origin of the blood has not been determined.

Nancy Guthrie, whom Savannah refers to as her “best friend,” was reported missing on a Sunday morning, following a dinner outing the previous night.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos made a direct appeal on Monday to anyone who may be holding her.

“Please call us. Release her. Simply call us. The family assures you, there will be no questions,” he told NBC News.

A Mother’s Bond

Nancy Guthrie, often referred to by Savannah as her “best friend,” was reported missing just hours after a dinner outing the night before.

Savannah was absent from the Today show on Monday, expressing her gratitude for the support received. Later, she shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, captioned: “Please Pray.”

“We believe in the power of prayer. We believe in coming together with voices of love and hope. We believe in the goodness of people. We have faith in humanity. Above all, we trust in Him,” Savannah wrote.

“Thank you for joining your prayers with ours for our beloved mom, our beloved Nancy, a woman of profound conviction, a devoted and faithful servant. Raise your prayers with us and have faith that she will find solace in them at this moment.”

She ended her post with a heartfelt plea: “We need you. He will keep in perfect peace those whose hearts remain steadfast, trusting in the Lord.” Quoting Isaiah, “For all time, for all of us. Bring her home.”

Our hearts and prayers are with the Guthrie family during this trying time.
