Donald Trump Finally Says Sorry, But Not for What You Think

In a surprising twist, the US President has made a rare apology to Oklahoma during an expressive moment on Truth Social.

Donald Trump, at 79 years old, has found himself in the spotlight again, but not for the reasons many might assume. Recently, a video he shared on Truth Social stirred a significant backlash. The video controversially featured AI-generated depictions of Barack and Michelle Obama in an offensive manner.

This video linked unfounded accusations involving Dominion Voting Systems with these inappropriate images of the former President and First Lady. The public reaction was strong, with calls for an apology that went unanswered despite the video being taken down. When confronted on Air Force One, Trump remained adamant that he had done nothing wrong.

In an exchange with reporters documented by The Independent, Trump stated confidently, โ€œNo, I didnโ€™t make a mistake. I looked at the beginning of it. It was fine.โ€

Interestingly, the apology that did come was for something entirely differentโ€”Trump’s past support for Kevin Stitt, the Republican Governor of Oklahoma.

The discord arose after the National Governors Association (NGA) decided against holding their annual meeting at the White House. According to AP News, Stitt communicated to his peers that the White House intended to restrict the association’s meeting invitations exclusively to Republican governors.

Stitt’s letter conveyed a sense of divergence, stating, โ€œBecause NGAโ€™s mission is to represent all 55 governors, the Association is no longer serving as the facilitator for that event, and it is no longer included in our official program.โ€

Trumpโ€™s response was pointed, as he vented on Truth Social saying, โ€œWhen Kevin Stitt, the very mediocre (at best!) RINO Governor of Oklahoma, was losing his Election to a Democrat, primarily because he did a bad job, he called for my help.

โ€œI Endorsed him, and he won. Sorry, my cherished Oklahoma, to have done that to you!โ€

To provide some context, back in March 2022, Trump emphasized his support, saying, โ€œKevin was a very successful businessman in 2018 when I first endorsed him. Now, he is a fighter for the incredible people of Oklahoma. Kevin Stitt has my Complete and Total Endorsement!โ€

Further elaborating, Trump explained, โ€œThe invitations were sent to ALL Governors, other than two, who I feel are not worthy of being there.โ€

Trump noted, โ€œI did not invite the Governor of Colorado, who has unfairly incarcerated in solitary confinement a 73-year-old cancer-stricken woman (A nine-year term!), for attempting to fight Democrat Voter Fraud, plus the foul-mouthed Governor of Maryland, who fraudulently stated that he received Military medals, A LIE, is doing a terrible job on the rebuilding of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, and has allowed Baltimore to continue to be a Crime Disaster.โ€
