Donald Trump’s Candid Comment on Prince William After Their Meeting

Donald Trump doesn’t shy away from speaking his mind, and he certainly didn’t hold back after meeting Prince William.

The Prince of Wales and the then-president-elect met in Paris towards the end of last year. Trump noted that discussions between the UK and the US were positive.

The meeting took place following the reopening of Notre-Dame Cathedral, which had been beautifully restored after the devastating fire back in 2019.

During their conversation, Trump mentioned they talked about their families and King Charles III’s health during his battle with cancer.

At the time, King Charles had stepped back from many commitments, with William stepping up to take on more responsibilities.

Trump seemed to be quite impressed by Prince William after their brief meeting.

In a conversation with the New York Post, Trump expressed: “Prince William looked really, very handsome the other night. Some folks just look better in person, and he was one of them. He looked fantastic, and I made sure to compliment him on that.

“We talked about his wife, and he mentioned she was doing well. We also discussed his father, who is bravely battling health issues, and William expressed a lot of love for his father and wife, which was touching.”

He continued, “We enjoyed a wonderful conversation for more than half an hour. It was truly a great talk.”

Trump has spoken before about his interactions with other members of the royal family, emphasizing that the late Queen Elizabeth II was fond of him.

He remarked, “A lot of people said I was her favorite president.”

According to Metro, the 78-year-old former president also recently wished King Charles III well regarding his health during a chat with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

“The Prime Minister spoke to President Trump tonight,” a spokesperson from Downing Street shared with the publication. “The president began the conversation by sending his well wishes for good health to His Majesty the King.”

Earlier this year, Trump made headlines discussing another member of the British monarchy, Prince Harry, who now resides in California with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, Archie and Lilibet.

In response to a call for Prince Harry’s deportation, due to information in his autobiography mentioning drug use, Trump dismissed any intention to send Harry out of the US. He told the New York Post, “I have no desire to do that. I prefer to leave him be. He’s got enough issues with his wife. “She is quite something.”
