Donald Trump’s First Words After Joe Biden is Diagnosed with Aggressive Cancer

Former President Joe Biden has received troubling news: he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.

Donald Trump, for the first time, has shared his thoughts regarding Biden’s unsettling health situation.

Biden Faces a Difficult Diagnosis

The interactions between Donald Trump and Joe Biden have been filled with sharp remarks and tension. However, the recent unfortunate news might be a moment for easing the strains between them.

On May 18, it was made public by the office of the 82-year-old former president that Joe Biden has a stage nine prostate cancer diagnosis, which has unfortunately spread to his bones.

An official message clarified, “Last week, President Joe Biden was examined due to new concerns over a prostate nodule following increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, identified by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone.”

The announcement went on to explain:

“Although this form of the disease is more aggressive, it appears to be hormone-sensitive, making effective management possible. The President and his family are exploring treatment options with his medical team.”

Concerns over Biden’s health have persisted among voters for some time—particularly during his presidency and his brief 2024 presidential campaign. After a heated debate with Donald Trump and facing rising health speculations, Biden captivated many by stepping down from the race just a few months before Election Day, leaving Vice President Kamala Harris to take the lead.

Trump’s First Response to the News

During that intense election period, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre publicly refuted rumors that Biden was suffering from Alzheimer’s when his performances on camera drew skepticism.

With Biden’s health in the spotlight once again, Donald Trump has responded with a statement that many might find gracious.

Posting on Truth Social, Trump expressed his sentiments:

“Melania and I are saddened by the news of Joe Biden’s recent medical diagnosis. We send our warm wishes to Jill and the family, and we are hopeful for Joe’s swift and complete recovery.”

Former Vice President Kamala Harris, who took charge of the Democratic campaign after Biden’s withdrawal, also expressed her wishes for his speedy recovery, calling him a tough competitor.

“Doug and I are deeply saddened to learn about President Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis. We are keeping him, Dr. Biden, and their entire family close in our thoughts and prayers during this challenging time,” Harris mentioned on X. “Joe is a fighter—and I am confident he will confront this challenge with the strength, resilience, and optimism that have always been characteristic of his life and leadership. We hope for a full and quick recovery.”

Biden’s Ongoing Cancer Battle

This isn’t the first time Joe Biden has faced a battle with cancer.

Back in 2023, while still in office, he underwent surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Before his time as president, he also received treatment for skin cancer.

In spite of these medical hurdles, Biden has remained a staunch advocate for fighting cancer, especially after the heartbreaking death of his eldest son, Beau, who tragically passed away due to a brain tumor in 2015.
