Duck Dynasty Star Receives Devastating Disease Diagnosis

Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been diagnosed with Alzheimerโ€™s disease.

The sad news was shared by Philโ€™s son, Jase Robertson, during Fridayโ€™s episode of theย Unashamed with the Robertson Familyย podcast.

Phil is no longer able to play a large role in the โ€œUnashamedโ€ podcast because of his latest health challenges. He can no longer sit still and engage in conversation and he is finding walking to be painful.

Theย Unashamed with the Robertson Familyย podcast episode featured Phil Robertson, his sons Jase and Alan, and his nephew, Zach Dasher.

Jase said that Philโ€™s doctors said there is no cure and the family is working to make things more comfortable for Phil.

Phil Robertson, born on April 24, 1946, is an American reality TV star, businessman, and outdoorsman best known forย Duck Dynasty. Theย  hit A&E series ran from 2012 to 2017. The show focused on his family and their successful duck call business, Duck Commander, which he founded in 1972. A former college football quarterback and teacher, Phil chose a life centered on hunting, faith, and family values. Known for his rugged persona, he became a prominent voice on conservative and Christian issues, authoring several books about his life and beliefs.
