Duck Dynasty Star Rushed To ER After Hunting Accident

Silas “Uncle Si” Robertson, 76, is on the mend after being hospitalized due to a serious fall. The Duck Dynasty star caused concern among fans last week when he missed his usual appearance on Duck Call Room, the podcast where he shares his hunting adventures and humorous antics from Duck Command. His absence, however, came with a good reason: Robertson had recently been hospitalized after falling off a boat during a hunting trip in Arkansas.

According to his co-host, Justin Martin, the fall resulted in injuries that required Robertson to spend three days in the emergency room.

“Typical Silas Robertson, in a dang hurry to get out of the boat,” Martin, his co-host explained . “He went to take a long step instead of waiting for us to move the decoys and the shotguns… A BDH, a Big Dang Hurry, and he fell.”

He continued, “When he fell, he fell on his oxygen machine — you know how he wears it like a bandolier.”

Martin explained that it seemed Robertson was ok as he jumped up and said he was fine.”I think he didn’t want anybody to see that he fell,” he said. “Except the problem is you’re covered in mud now, so we know that he fell.”

The hunting group repeatedly checked on Robertson, however, he insisted he was fine. As the day wore on, it became evident he was downplaying the seriousness of the situation. Co-host Justin Martin noticed Robertson was unusually quiet and suspected he might have a concussion.

Fellow Duck Dynasty actor Phillip McMillan later encountered Robertson sitting quietly by himself and pressed him for details. At last, Robertson confessed, “Man, I’m in a lot of pain… I’ve been in pain for three days.”

In addition to the pain, he experienced low oxygen levels, which prompted his family to take him to the emergency room. X-rays revealed he had bruised ribs from the fall, while his low oxygen levels were linked to panic attacks caused by the pain. Thankfully, no further serious injuries were found. Robertson was treated, prescribed medication, and has since been discharged to recover at home.

Justin reflected on the incident, remarking, “Things can go sideways pretty fast out there.”

This ordeal comes amid other health challenges for the Robertson family.

Phil Robertson, Si’s brother, was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Jase Robertson shared the news on an earlier podcast episode.
