Elton John Lists the Organs He’s Had Removed

“To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.”

Elton John recently opened up about his health challenges, playfully listing the organs he’s had removed over the years.

During a special screening of his new documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, in the bustling city of New York, the iconic singer shared these personal details, adding a touch of humor to a serious subject.

The documentary not only delves into the dazzling 50-year career of the music legend but also highlights the exciting lead-up to one of his most significant performances—his farewell concert in North America. Fans will also get a glimpse of the ‘Rocket Man’ singer in intimate moments with his family.

John Discusses His Health at the Documentary Screening

Recently, it came to light that Elton’s vision was impacted due to a ‘severe eye infection’, and he previously underwent a pacemaker implantation.

With a chuckle, he confessed to the attendees, “To be honest with you, there’s not much of me left.”

“I don’t have tonsils, adenoids, or an appendix anymore,” he lightheartedly listed.

“Gone are my prostate, right hip, left knee, and right knee. Really, my left hip is all that remains,” he joked.

As the world knows, Sir Elton embarked on a breathtaking farewell tour spanning 330 dates globally. This prompted concerns from his friends, one of whom told the New York Post, “He is not Superman.”

“He should be at home cherishing time with his kids and husband, not constantly being on the road. I fear he might not see the tour through,” the friend expressed.

Answering these worries, Elton announced his retirement from touring, reaffirming this decision at the New York event.

“As you are well aware, I chose to step away from touring as I am now 77 years young,” he remarked warmly. “I’ve accomplished all I set out to do, performed, succeeded, and lived the dream.”
