Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away at the age of 54.
Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla acknowledged in a statement, “It is with a heavy heart that I must deliver the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
“I have never met a lady who was as passionate, strong and loving as she was. We request discretion as we work to process this tragic loss. Thank you for your prayers and kindness. No more commentary will be made at this time.”
Just two days prior, Lisa Marie and her mother Priscilla attended the Golden Globes together to celebrate Austin Butler’s victory for best actor for his depiction of Elvis in the corresponding Baz Luhrmann film. Lisa Marie sobbed as he thanked the family for their assistance during his award speech.
Lisa Marie, the sole child of Elvis Presley and his wife Priscilla, was born in 1968. She followed in her mother’s footsteps by releasing three albums, the first of which came out in 2003.
She was married to Nicolas Cage, Danny Keough, and Michael Lockwood, as well as the famous musicians Michael Jackson and Nicolas Cage.
On Thursday morning, the mother-of-four was taken to the hospital urgently, but she died later that day.
The 54-year-old was discovered unresponsive in her bedroom in her Calabasas home, according to a report from TMZ published earlier in the day. She has since been put into an induced coma and has been given a temporary pacemaker. According to reports, her housekeeper discovered her. Lisa Marie’s ex-husband Danny, with whom she still shared a home, started performing CPR right away until paramedics arrived.
She had four kids and the middle one, Benjamin Keough, her second child with Danny, committed suicide in 2020 at the age of 28. The mother was 54 years old.
Riley Keough, his older sister, is 33 years old and will play Daisy Jones in a future television series based on the bestselling book Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins-Reid.
Finley Aaron Love Lockwood and Harper Vivienne Ann Lockwood, who are twins and are 14 years old, are also Lisa’s children. Michael Lockwood, the singer’s ex-husband who was married to Rihanna from 2006 until 2016, is their father.
In a long statement, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita, who both participated in the Elvis biography, recognized Lisa’s “eloquent” description of her father and “what the movie meant to her, that it was a celebration of her dad.”
Lisa Marie was described by Rita as being “very honest and straightforward, vulnerable, and in a state of anticipation about the movie.”
“She made Graceland feel like home to us by individually showing us around.”
John Travolta said on social media, “Lisa baby girl, I’m very sorry.” “Although I’ll miss you, I’m confident I’ll see you again. I’m thinking of Riley, Priscilla, Harper, and Finley with all of my love.”
Along with a photo of the fashion designer and Lisa Marie, Donnatella Versace said, “I will never forget the times we spent together.” “Your kindness and beauty shone so brightly. Lisa Marie, rest in peace. We shall always remember you.”
Lisa Marie was described as “one of a kind, funny as [expletive], clever as a whip, sensitive, talented, witty, cruel, kind, generous, judgmental but always right, loyal, and you adored your children” by singer Pink in a statement that broke her heart.
