Fans are moved to tears by Dylan Dreyer’s emotional update on Al Roker

On Thursday, instead of uploading images of her own family on social media, Dylan Dreyer made room for someone else who was very precious to her.

The meteorologist on the Today show paid respect to Al Roker, who is unable to work due to his ongoing struggle with his health and has been absent from the broadcast.

She shared numerous images from an emotional moment when he was startled by a spectacular reunion with his co-stars who decided to show up at his home during a segment on the NBC show. The reunion took place at his house.

She added next to the pictures that showed Al with so many of his coworkers, “There’s no one more loved than this man right here. @alroker We look forward to hearing from you soon, @todayshow. We miss you.”

The photographs were so beautiful that they brought tears to the eyes of the fans. One person expressed their emotions in a letter by writing, “I just know you all from TV, yet this story made me cry!” Friends are invaluable, and each and every one of you is great. That was the most adorable thing that has ever taken place. Definitely brought tears to my eyes. Get better soon, Al.”

When Al was blindsided by the unexpected visit, he found that he was unable to hold back his tears.

Despite this, he was able to convey his appreciation by saying, “I just want to thank you all.”

It has been a long and challenging journey, and I have missed all of you very, very much. All of these different faces mean the absolute world to me. And my loved ones.”

After a blood clot migrated to his lungs, the 42-year-old father of four has been out of work for the past month and has spent the majority of that time in the hospital.

Earlier on in the day, he had provided viewers at home with an update while he was on the air. He acknowledged, “It has been a terrible slog, and I’m not going to lie about it.”

“I’ve had my fair number of operations, but this one has been the most difficult by far.” There are many persons and things for which I should express gratitude.

He went on to say, “It instills a great sense of appreciation in you for the countless prayers and thanks that have been offered.”

Before Thanksgiving, the 68-year-old TV icon who has been a part of Today for the past 25 years was admitted to the hospital, and he remained there for more than two weeks after his admission.

Even though he did go home for a little while, not long after the holiday he found himself back in the hospital being treated for the same reoccurring conditions. Thankfully, he has since recovered and is acting more like his old, upbeat self.
