Favorite ‘All My Children’ Star Has Passed Away At 51

Esta TerBlanche, best known for her role on ‘All My Children’, passed away. She was 51.

According to TMZ, the soap star died unexpectedly on July 18 in her California home. This was told to TMZ by Barbie Ashley, her goddaughter.

It is believed she had been dead for at least a day before she was found inside her North Hollywood house. Her cause of death is still being investigated

Esta TerBlanche is a talented South African actress whose work has left a significant mark on both American and South African television. Born on January 7, 1973, in Rustenburg, South Africa, TerBlanche’s passion for acting emerged early in her life. TerBlanche’s career took off in South Africa, where she appeared in numerous television shows and films.

However, she became more known after she moved to the United States, and joined the soap opera “All My Children.”In 1997, TerBlanche portrayed the character of Gillian Andrassy. Her character was a Hungarian princess with a complex and dramatic storyline. She quickly became a fan favorite. She had a chemistry with co-star Cameron Mathison, who played Ryan Lavery, and their on-screen romance captivated audiences.

TerBlanche’s tenure on “All My Children” lasted until 2001. During this period, she earned critical acclaim and a solid fan base. She earned nominations for various awards. Despite leaving the show in 2001, TerBlanche’s impact was such that she returned briefly in 2011. She was there for the show’s farewell season, much to the excitement of longtime fans. After “All My Children,” TerBlanche continued to work in both American and South African entertainment.

In more recent years, TerBlanche moved on from acting, and opened a healing spa in Los Angeles.

The South African star married Andre Kock in 1997 and divorced him in 2008. She is survived by ex-husband Kock and her goddaughter.
