Last week, Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy came together in a meeting at the White House, which unfortunately spiraled into a heated confrontation. Reports have surfaced suggesting that the US president completely lost his cool.

The conflict involving Russia and Ukraine remains ongoing, with persistent efforts to find peaceful resolutions. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s recent visit to discuss the matter with Donald Trump, however, did not go as planned.

According to the Financial Times, the discussion between Trump and Zelenskyy escalated into a loud dispute when Ukraine’s leader left without the sought-after Tomahawk missiles.

Much like their previous encounter in February, tensions flared in the Oval Office. Allegations from the Financial Times describe Trump as constantly using foul language, which culminated in a “shouting match.”

In a stern warning, President Trump emphasized that if Zelenskyy rejected the proposed terms for ending the Russian invasion, Ukraine would potentially face severe consequences from Putin.

Further reports indicate that Trump proposed Zelenskyy relinquish the entire Donbas region. Ultimately, the US decided to support freezing the current frontlines.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy had been eager to receive advanced Tomahawk cruise missiles. However, Trump expressed reluctance to deplete US reserves despite earlier contemplating sending the missiles to counter Russian aggression.

Trump publicly stated, “I have a duty to ensure our country’s stockpile is secure, as the future holds uncertainty in both war and peace. Our preference is for Ukraine not to require Tomahawks, and for the war to end, to be honest.”

Yet, the White House deliberation turned into a showdown, with a European official informing the Financial Times that Trump pressured Zelenskyy to accept a deal to avoid devastation.

The president purportedly warned, “If (Putin) decides, he will annihilate you.”

Adding to the tension, Trump reportedly hurled a map onto the table, expressing his frustration by exclaiming his fatigue with the ongoing situation.

Trump says “enough blood has been shed”

“This red line, I have no knowledge about it. I’ve never been there,” Trump allegedly remarked.

Following the encounter with Zelenskyy, Trump took to social media with a message: “Enough blood has been shed, with territories marked by Conflict and Courage. They should pause at this moment. Allow both to claim Victory, and let History render its judgment!”
